Headline bench
Paste a product headline and see length, whether it names a reader, and which inflated claims are wasting the line.
What does the headline bench check?
It counts characters and words, flags lines that start with “introducing,” looks for a reader or a role, and marks stock intensifiers like “seamless” and “game-changer.” The check runs in your browser.
Paste a headline to bench it.
How to use it
Paste one headline, not the deck.
If length fails, move the extra clause into the deck instead of deleting the reader.
If it does not name a reader, add a role. A product name alone is an identifier.
Cut every flagged intensifier. They fit any competitor’s line.
Questions
Does a passing line rank better?
The bench does not measure ranking. It measures whether a stranger can see the reader and the job before the line is cut.
Why 70 characters?
That is about where a sidebar, a pin, and many snippets stop. The page can say more underneath. The headline should survive the cut.
Is my text uploaded?
No. It stays in the browser.
